I would like to inform you that Roberta Hawes Brown passed away yesterday, Saturday, February 11, 2017, in California, with her family at her side, after a very long and valiant battle with throat cancer. I'm sure there are quite a few people here who will have fond memories of Berta.
She was an inspiration to so many people and will be truly missed.

I was very sad to hear this.
Bette Midler was once asked how she'd like to be known, and she replied that she wanted to be remembered as a great broad.
Roberta was a great broad, in the very best sense of that term !

And she could also belt out a fabulous rendition of "Wind beneath My Wings" too. She resembled Bette in so many ways. Her stamina - especially during the past year - was phenomenal ! I'll pass on your sentiments to her family.

Haven't been on GTOL for awhile. Sorry to hear about Roberta. She and Mary McLintock visited me one time when she was visiting.
