Obituary for Gertrude Paul

Paul, Gertrude Anita "Trudy" (nee Lawson) - Peacefully in her sleep on Saturday October 18, 2014 at the Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest. Trudy in her 90th year,wife of the late Orval Paul. Loving mother of Bob Paul and his wife Linda of Belwood, Linda Schornagel and her husband Skip of Mount Forest and Deborah Detoro and her husband Joe of Arthur. Proud grandmother of Terri, Tracy, Andy, Jim, Jennifer, Paul, Dawn, Kelly and Lanny and great-grandmother of Jayme, Aidan, Courtney, Megan, Brendan, Emily, Katie, Tye, Quinn, Brooke, Joey, Michael, Hayley, Jaylin, Lucas, Cameron, Cody and Nate. Dear sister of Dorothy Menzies and Jackie Elgas. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Louise Marshall Hospital. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Ave., Georgetown, (905) 877-3631 on Wednesday from 7-9 pm. Funeral and committal service will be held in the chapel on Thursday October 23rd at 11:00 am. Cremation. In memory contributions to the Louise Marshall Hospital or Branch 120 Royal Canadian Legion Auxillary, Georgetown would be appreciated. To send expressions of sympathy visit

Condolences to the family. Sounds like she had a long and fruitful life. So many grandchildren and great-grandchildren to carry on. I hope you all have wonderful memories to cherish.

Thank you very much guys. Yes, she had a long wonderful life and was living on her own right to the last week. She will be missed, but is with Dad and that's a comforting thought.
